Sporty Pig
Dear Athletes,
A couple of days ago your dear friend was walking on the main street of the campus. There he saw some people that wanted him to join in a competition. The flying pig thought about it and said why not? So he signed up for the men’s singles (since they didn’t have a category for Pig’s singles) and also men’s doubles with Cai Cai. Since he left his sporting shoes in Chengdu he planned to play in his red Chuck Taylors. But then the Little Tiger said she would send them to him along with some clothes and it would only cost around 20-30 kuai. The shoes arrived in time for the match and at 1pm Cai Cai and Fei Zhu was ready to enter the first round of the tournament. After a great performance displayed by the two youngsters, the referee was so impressed that he wanted to play yours truly. After playing for a bit, the president of the sport arrived and wanted a singles match. Your friend who hadn’t picked up a racket for the last seven years was already tired, but didn’t want to be rude and accepted the challenge. After winning the first set easily, yours truly lost the second and third set out of politeness and fatigue.
Stay tuned as Cai Cai and Fei Zhu heads for the second round of the men’s doubles and Fei Zhu who will enter the singles tournament starting on saturday. The president was also so impressed that he invited your dear friend to train with them on sunday, an offer that the flying pig couldn’t refuse. After seven years in front of the keyboard, the flying pig’s body is hurting everywhere and the right knee is almost injured. But he has decided to make it stronger and beat the president next time, since politeness is something that should not be exaggerated and your dear friend still has some pride and feeling for the blueyellow country where he was born and raised, but never felt like he belonged to.
Anybody out there that can guess what the sport the tournament is in?
Sincerly Yours
Fei Zhu, living the Chinese dream
